Amanda Ekery is an improvising vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer originally from El Paso, TX whose works spans Off-Broadway theater, creative writing, jazz education, and multiple studio recordings. She is the Associate Director of Academic Affairs for the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music at The New School, on faculty at Fordham University, and is the Founder and Director of El Paso Jazz Girls. Amanda enjoys reading sci/fi/fantasy, being outdoors, crocheting and watching reality tv.
